How to set up Source with DSDrvs (BT8x8)
Selection of the DSdrvs capture source
To select the DSDrv source:
- Menu > Setup > Capture Source
- Select DSDrv (BT8x8)
To reach setup dialogue box
- Menu > Setup > Source setup or
- Right click > Setup > Source setup
Source Tab
- Card #
You can use several TV cards with K!TV thanks to this function - Card Model
Select here the BT8x8 based TV-card model.
If your BT8x8 based TV-card is not mentioned, you must setup a Custom TV card.
- Tuner Type
This menu allows selecting a tuner type. In France one must choose Philips SECAM tuner type on most of TV cards. Germany border zone inhabitants (German TV is PAL) should use Temic PAL.
My tuner is not in the list of the tuner models! You must setup a Custom Tuner.
- Video Source
Shows if the video source is provided by the internal tuner of your card (Video Tuner) or by an outside source, using a composite cable (choose composite) or a S-Video cable (choose S-Video). - PLL init
Old cards use two quartzes. It is therefore necessary to initialize PLL to quartz frequency: 28 MHz or 35 MHz.
(In a simple way, it emulates the quartz since there is no more quartz in recent TV-cards.)
Audio Tab
- Audio source
Shows if the Audio source is provided by the internal tuner of your card (Tuner) or by an outside source.
In case of problem, we advise you to test the different sources after having ensured that everything is well wired... - MSP setup boxes
If you select MSP (if you own a stereo tuner TV-card), you will get access to a setup box, and to two other boxes. - Mono
The audio stream is in mono. - Stereo
The audio stream is in stereo. - Lang 1
Main multilingual audio program. - Lang 2
Secondary multilingual audio program.
