Frequently Asked Questions
This part has not been already developed... the last version of K!TV is too fresh, so we did not have time to list the frequently asked questions.
1) Resetting the Tuner
You can use the "Ctrl + R" shortcut.
2) K!TV.exe: command lines
Indeed, it is possible to launch K!TV using some options, by adding commands during the launch of K!TV.exe.
Click Start > Run and type the following command:
- "complete path to K!TV\K!TV.exe" -command1 -command2 etc...
- Shortcut to K!TV > Right Click > Properties
Modify the Target box:
"complete path to K!TV\K!TV.exe" -command1 -command2 etc...
Here is the list of available commands:
- -log: write messages to log file
- -mfs: start in full screen mode
- -mtv: start in TV mode
- -c=xx: K!TV will start with the channel xx
Functions only available together with the -mtv option:
- -x=xx: horizontal start position (from top left)
- -y=xx: vertical start position (from top left)
- -w=xx: weight of the window
- -h=xx: height of the window
- -nomove: fixed window
- -mnb: no border window
3) The K!TV.ini file
The K!TV.ini file contains some options not accessible through K!TV interface.
You can edit and modify this file with the MS Windows Notepad.
Attention: Do not modify any line in that file except the one indicated bellow. Otherwise K!TV should become unstable or unworkable.
- "complete path to K!TV\K!TV.ini"
The available options of the K!TV.ini are the following:
- -INVERT_MOUSE_WHEEL=: False by default. True, allows inverting the mouse wheel direction.
- -FIX_X_Y_RATIO_FULLSCREEN=: True by default, the original format is respected in full screen mode, but black borders will appear if the "screen ratio" is not the same. False, there will not be black borders and the picture will fill the whole screen area.
- -FIX_X_Y_RATIO_WINDOW=: True by default, the original format is respected in windowed mode, but black borders will appear if the "screen ratio" is not the same. False, there will not be black borders and the picture will fill the whole window area.
Note: screen ratio refers to the ratio between the screen height and the screen width. The standard TV screen ratio is 1.33:1. That means that the screen is 1.33 times larger than high. It is also known as 4:3 format since mathematically, 4 inches (10,16 cm) horizontally for 3 inches (7.62 cm) vertically.
